Anti-Penetration Product
The barrier grade in the tobacco range — high oil resistance, developed for capsule components.
What it is.
Capsule or burst-bead components put a liquid inside the product, and that liquid has to stay where it was put until the moment it is released. A paper component next to it therefore needs oil resistance in the way a food wrap does — if the liquid wicks into the sheet, the component stains and the capsule underperforms.
This grade is built for that: high oil resistance, on a degradable furnish, to national tobacco industry standards. It is the grade to specify wherever a component sits against an oil-bearing or flavour-bearing part rather than against dry tobacco.
