What the documentation proves — and what it does not
Every enquiry for food-grade paper asks the same question in different words: is it safe to use? The honest answer is that documents describe what was measured, and the rest depends on the market you are selling into.
What we can put in your hands
A full technical data sheet for the grade, stating what the mill specifies and holds to. A batch test report for the material actually shipped, against the parameters the mill tests. Both on request, for any food-grade item we quote.
That is a real answer to a real question. It is not the same as a certificate that the paper is legal in your market.
What those documents establish
A data sheet establishes the specification the mill is working to. A batch report establishes that the material shipped was measured against it. Together they give you traceability from the reel back to the run.
What they do not do is carry a regulatory approval from one jurisdiction to another. Food contact rules differ by market, and they change. A report showing a parameter within limits is evidence, not authorisation.
Where the obligation sits
The party placing the finished pack on a market is the party that has to satisfy that market's rules. Our part is to supply the grade specified, with the documentation to show what it is, and to be straight about what that documentation covers.
If a specific declaration is required for your market, say so with the enquiry. Whether the mill can issue it is a question with a real answer, and we would rather get that answer before the order than after.
Why we are careful about this
It is common in this trade to see supplier material implying certifications that do not exist, or applying one market's approval everywhere. It reads well and it fails at the first serious audit. We would rather be the supplier whose paperwork survives the audit.

Does a test report mean the paper is approved in my country?
No. A test report shows what was measured against the mill's specification. Regulatory acceptance is market specific and rests with whoever places the finished pack on that market.
